Medical marijuana has been legal in Florida since 2014 when the state passed the first program, called the Compassionate Use Act. Since then, the laws have evolved consistently to include more patients with a wider range of conditions and illnesses. Florida still doesn’t have an adult-use cannabis program, but advocates continue to push for amendments to the state’s constitution.
